There are four adjustments available with FloSkis to customize your personalized needs:
1. Binding position:
Forward most adjustment is best for high speed. It provides more stability by even edge pressure.
Furthest rear position is best for moguls, powder, tree skiing and easy turning. Also provides less torque to knees and greater safety from knee injuries.
2. Cant shims:
Cant shims provide more edge hold with less tail skidding for total carved railroad track like turns. They come in 1.5, 2, and 3 degrees. 3 degrees work best in powder and crud. 1.5 degrees are best in extreme icy conditions.
3. Rubber tail stiffener:
Tail stiffener provides increased tail hold in the rearward binding position by increasing the camber and stiffness of the tail. They do not effect the ski performance in the forward position.
4. Ramp angle:
Ramp angle shims provide better edge pressure and balance with less stress to the knee patella tendon. "Lessens knee tendonitis"
It also increases tail hold in the rear binding positions. It comes normally in 1.5 and 2 degrees. Increasing the ramp angle also softens the tail flex by vertue of the physics. 3 degrees is also possible for a softer tail flex.
It is best to start with factory settings and make adjustments later to suit your style of skiing and conditions.
FloSkis are unique because they are many skis in one because of these adjustments.
